Chilmark is a small town with unmatched beautiful scenery. Its gently rolling hills are know the world over. Beetlebung Corner is the crossroads for excursions into the surrounding countryside where one can get some fantastic views of the ocean. Old farms dot the countryside with their stone walls still intact.

Menemsha is a quaint fishing village where you can still see small fishing vessels arrive with their catches. You can buy some of the freshest fish and lobster right on the spot. The Coast Guard maintains a station here keeping watch over the fishing fleet.
