Vineyard Haven has the best protected harbor on the island where the ferry boats offer year-round service to and from the mainland. The village offers fine shops and restaurants, just a short step or two up from the docks.

There are many vistas around the town drawing photographers to see typical island beauty. The only traffic light on the island is here watching over the draw bridge.
